What an adventure Room 20.

Camp
By Izzy

With High Ropes
and Low Ropes
Chasm Walks
and Little Talks
and with marshmallow tests
It’s the absolute best
It’s not your ordinary camp
but with Mr Moore
and Mr Eames
And Lella spilling the beans
You wouldn’t even start to believe
what Raroa’s Room 20 have achieved!

    1. I agree with Izzy about how you need Willingness, Independence, Teamwork, Ability to listen and carry out instructions, and I think you also need the ability to plan your way so you know what you are doing and patience for you might have to wait to do different things e.g: You might want to go tramping but a horrible storm might appear so you would have to be patient and let the storm pass because there is always time to do things in life.

    2. Willingness is the best one out of all of those. You won't even go to camp if you ain't willing you know what I'm saying? Also listening instructions is very important because if you don't many bad things could calm your way.

  2. To survive at camp I think you would have to be persistent so you can get through all the challenges at camp.

  3. I also think that you would need to be persistent, to get thorugh all the different challenges e.g: nightline, high ropes, low ropes and etc.You will also need teamwork so you can communicate with other people in all the different games and things you do in camp.E.g: Putting up tents, the human knot and other things. :)

  4. I think to survive camp, you need to have persistence and determination to keep going and having a good time, even if some things don’t quite go to plan.
You also need good listening skills, independence, patience and good organisational skills so you can look after yourself and your stuff on camp.
Lastly I think your class needs good teamwork and you need to be able to trust each-other and your teacher to be able to go with the flow and have a good time.

  5. I think to survive camp you need to be well prepared for the activities that you are going to do and also enthusiastic so that you can enjoy yourself

  6. I agree with everyone above, I also think that you need to be aware of others, so that they too can enjoy camp, because otherwise it wouldn't be much fun for anyone.

  7. I agree with Izzy . You need to be willing to to things at camp or even go to camp. You need to be indipendant and cook and so on. You need to have teamwork to do all the challenges.

  8. I agree with Izzy. You need willingness so that you have the will to do things, Independence so that you can do the cooking and getting to things on time, teamwork so that you can do stuff like the knot thing and taking down/putting up tents and the ability to listen and carry out instructions, because otherwise you would have been told to sit out the whole thing!

  9. I think everyone's thoughts are amazing. My thoughts is planning and teamwork. It's important to have camping skills. But also it's important to have fun too!

  10. Yeah, you do need willingness to do things but also the courage to stand up and try something new.
Having a calm head is also great, like if your on the high ropes and your really worried, having a calm head will help you ease your body and it will be easy to complete the course.
What Emma mentioned was also right, teamwork and learning to trust each other is a good skill to overcome, it'll help you and other people to encourage you to finish or complete a challenge together and consistently.

  11. I think for camp you need to get organised & prepared fast or you might not have time to get the vital things you need like having time to get a drink bottle or make your lunch but the other chance is you keep everyone else waiting and you get your head yelled off and you don't want to continue (but this is the creative option that's pretty unlikely).
And second but also last you need to be willing to do everything. It's ok to be worried about about things but if you are that petrified about something it probably wasn't such a good idea to come if you can't cope with what you're attempting to do.

  12. I agree with a lot of people. If you go to camp you need to willing to do things. You need to be organized and prepared. Prepared by prepared to do things. Don't except nothing unexcepted will happen. If younot prepared it will get you no where. You will be just in the background. That is alittle bit like willingness.

  13. In camp people need the best positivity. Positivity can make teamwork happen, you can complete challenges and have a really fun time. But you also need independence so you can look after yourself.

  14. I agree William - I like how you have said positivity can make teamwork happen, you can complete challenges and have a really fun time.
I think you also definitely need to be independent which organised and prepared comes under.
You need to be willing to try new things, get dirty (!), get wet, work together, live rough, enjoy it, look after yourself, help others, etc.
It always helps if your enthusiastic so you can enjoy yourself and other people can enjoy it too.
I also agree with Emma in saying your class needs good teamwork and you need to be able to trust each-other and your teacher to be able to go with the flow and have a good time.

  15. Well I think everything has been said but I'd like to add having an open mind to whatever camp throws at you is a good strategy. Also believing in yourself and giving everything a try is a great attitude to have on camp. Pushing through fear eg fear of heights and the unknown is very rewarding when you realise you can do stuff that scares you a little.
